Approvals For Fuel Oil, Propane or Gas Fuel Lines

Envirotube is flexible PVC-jacketed coated copper tubing that is used for fuel oil transfer lines, gas and propane. Envirotube is the only coated copper tubing having a patent from the United States Pattent Office specefically for the use in underground fuel oil lines. It is approved by numerous states, D.E.C., D.E.P., Department of Health, Firemarshalls, and is UL listed for petroleum products.

Envirotube is resistant to almost all chemicals found in the soil. It is also flame retardant, abrasion resistant, and resistant to Earth movement. The coating compound has been improved by the addition of UV inhibitor and anti-fungicide. The flexible PVC coating has a life span of over one-hundred years without loss of strength.

The PVC coating is non-toxic and recyclable.

Envirotube has been installed now for many years without one known failure. The flexable PVC compound that is coated to the copper tubing has been used on direct burial electrical cable & found to be problem free. The PVC coating is applied by using an extrusion process and in the event the coppor tubing developes a leak the superior coating will maintain vacuum & pressure.

There is no compatable coated copper tubing on the market that can compare with the high quality, high manufacturing standards & durability of Envirotube.

It is standard type L copper tubing with flexable PVC. Envirotube comes in standard rolls to any lengths required in 3/8", 1/2" amd 5/8" OD.

Envirotube is manufactured in Lowell, Massachusetts, and is approved for direct burial underground or under concrete. Repersentative samples of Envirotube have been evaluated for petroleum products by UL and meet applicable UL standards and requirements.

Envirotube has earned a U.S. patent specefically for the transfer of petro chemicals in underground or under concrete installations.

K.E.P. Inc (Division of LDC) now has available EnviroGroove. Type L Copper Tubing coated wtih PVC. Should the copper tubing develop a leak, the grooves in the PVC coating will allow for detection of the leak. The PVC coating will prevent leakage to the exterior of the coated tubing.
