HVACweb Site Information

Please follow the links below to access information about HVACweb.

Welcome to HVACweb!

We would like to welcome you to a new resource for information of all types, relating to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry. As a new site on the 'Web', we have yet to stock all our shelves with the nuggets of information which will help you to run your business more efficiently and if you are a consumer, educate you about the 'hows and whys' of the HVAC/R industry. So, if you're asking "where's the beef?", be assured, we're busy in the back room - slicing and dicing!

A message from David D. Campbell, Site Owner.

I would like to personally welcome you to the thing that you've heard so much about- the World Wide Web! While you don't see a revolution occurring every day, it is my belief that we are all experiencing one right now! The Web provides the means to exchange information in an interesting and inexpensive manner. I hope that HVACweb can and will be the vehicle for your company as we explore the far-flung possibilities of global communication. Please feel free to send me your input at: ddcamp@hvacweb.com, I hope to hear from you soon!

A little history on HVACweb.

HVACweb is a new site on the World Wide Web, coming on-line on Friday, Feb. 16th 1996. HVACweb was origionally a production of FRYE Multimedia Systems, and is now under the supervision of Geoff Caldwell, a Graphic Design Major at Franklin Pierce College. We have a lot planned for this site, so please add us to your bookmark list and return often!

The HVACweb philosophy.

Our main goal is to be an information resource for the HVAC/R industry. We would like to try to present information in an atmosphere that is informative, interactive, pleasing to view and fun. We provide the opportunity for businesses to open their 'virtual storefronts' within the HVACweb mall. Because this site is industry specific, your site will recieve more traffic because customers will be circulating through our site rather than searching on their own out on the 'net. Don't get us wrong, there are a tremendous number of sites beyond the confines of HVACweb - and we will try to provide links to them.

Where is HVACweb going?

The Web is changing so fast, that it is very hard to keep up with it all. However, HVACweb is dedicated to providing you with all the latest technologies as soon as they become reliable vehicles for transmitting information. What does that mean? Well, technology such as Java programing languages add animation and other application to the static web pages that you're used to. We are interactive now, with the capabilities of search, forms, java, etc. We will incorporate new web technology into HVACweb as soon as it becomes feasable. So, stay tuned!

Why HVACweb?

HVACweb is your state-of-the-art connection to the Internet. We are powered by a Silicon Graphics Indy Webforce server running Netscape Communications Server Software via a T-1 line which is one hop from the nearest Backbone NAP(Network Access Point). Wow!, pretty impressive, - but what does all that mean? It means that HVACweb is able to serve a lot of information very fast to many people who are all asking for the same thing at the same time! In short - exactly what you want to be able to do. If your question is "How do we communicate with our customers on-line?" Then your answer is HVACweb.
